July 17

Thursdays are "Library Days" - the days the students can come and check out books for their summer book reports. It was a special day in Cornerstone's library because it was the first time we were able to use the new computer program to check out books. It will keep a much better record of who has what book and for long they have had it. Here is a picture of Theodora "Dora" Pott, who is a recent graduate of Cornerstone, and who has been hired to log all of the books into the Computer.

Thursday was also another good day of workshops on "Worldview". Even though the class is small (4 students) they are really absorbing what they are being taught.

For dinner, and I always like to talk about the food, we were invited to Albert and Romalda's. She made us Escabeche (onion soup) with fresh corn tortillas - probably the best Escabeche we've ever had. It was delicious!

This morning has been ushered in by our neighbor's crow (the rooster IS our neighbor), and it is promising to be a hot and humid day. Please pray for Nila and her husband (they are friends in San Narciso) who's baby (born premature 2 months ago) was expected to die last night. We will update later.
