The team from FRPC has arrived! They look tired, but they seem really happy to be here. Their trip went smoothy, no problem through immigration or customs, and on time.
Around 4:30 this afternoon, we went over to the house where they will be staying to welcome them to Belize. They have very nice accomodations and the "boys" room even has wall to wall carpet - I've never seen wall to wall carpet in Belize before!
We then met them again for dinner at Marc and Sam Summer's house. This is where they will eat all their evening meals this week. So good to have them safely here!
Two updates: The little yellow fruit I mentioned this morning is called Craboo. They also use it to flavor ice cream. And the little baby I mentioned a couple days ago is still alive and, as Alvaro put it, he's headed on a healing path. He is still in the hospital in Chetumal but is expected to be released once they figure what formula to feed him. The family will have to do a lot of fundraising to pay for a 3-5 day hospital stay.
Dale and I will be getting up early tomorrow to drive Alvaro and Elsa to the airport, on their way to St. Louis for a week of seminary training. We will return hopefully by noon to eat lunch with our FRPC team, and then Dale will be preaching at 5:00 in Cristo Rey and 6:30 in San Narciso. It will be a busy day! Pray for our safety as we travel tomorrow.
